Valovline Zerex G-05 the right coolant.

Post by gcretro » Thu Feb 03, 2011 12:25 pm

04 Neon. Need to do a coolant change with timing belt change.

I searched and this was mentioned.

Just want to confirm that Valovline Zerex G-05 is a compatible coolant.

Thx

Meh, as long as you flush the complete system, any (quality) coolant type will work.

The G-05 is a direct replacement from my understanding. I know I've added G-05 to my car at the rare time I've needed it.

So why in the manual does Chrysler/dodge say use specific coolant for the neon? or is it just bullshit

They all say that.

If the coolant is compatible with the coolant that is in the car, then it's the right coolant.

So when you do to the dealer for that "special" coolant, they can charge you twice as much. I will only use G-05 as long as I can get it.
