srt rear section

i have an 03 sxt . and i picked up a srt-4 rear section how hard is going to be to get ont to my sxt. does it need to be welded onto it actually

It will basically fit into the SXT exhaust hangers, etc.

^ how come you always seem to have a picture for everything. lol.


& Rondeau04 put it on there as best you can then go to exhaust shop to have the ends welded in place cause im sure there will probably be a small air leak of some kind.

I'm sure his has tips.

If I have time when working on stuff, I take pics, because you never know when they come in handy. Sometimes what seems stupid at the time, turns out to be worthwhile down the road.

If you look close, you can see the plug I tapped into the left side.

now i just have to find a way to make the cutouts or even where exactly to make them on my stock sxt bumper

i have little circles on where the cutouts should be but i have been told that these are for the rt exhaust not the srt exhaust is this true

Yes. These were never intended for the SRT.

either way demons your bad ass man. im 28 i guess i just call everyone kid even though i hate being called kid myself.

should i pick up a res or an inline muffler when i put the exhaust on or is it not even needed at all

from everything I've read on this board... yer gonna need a muffler of some kind...

It will be very loud, and not in a good way...

on my R/T with the SRT-4 rear section i found that a glasspack in the tunnel sounded really nice

Srt rear section on sxt. Resonator Size????????

i recently put a srt rear section on my 2003 sxt. i was wondering what the best size resonator to put in it. i want it to still have that throaty souns just not crazy loud as im accelerating.

I Don't think resonators tone down the sound much. I was told the srt doesn't
need a muffler itself because the turbo beats down the sound., I'm soon
Going to put a 30" glass pack on my exhaust (I have the same setup and
everything as you) and I'll post a video of before and after so you and anyone
else can get a feel of what a glass pack can do.
