wow i replace my cps twice and now i got a code for it again and a crank sensor code. is that bad or what?

What exactly are the codes?

As in if the belt has jumped a tooth, it may throw a different code than the conventional P0340.

They both are fed by the same 5 volt supply too.

p0129,p0335,p0129

P0129 - Barometric Pressure Out-of-Range low.

Prolly need a new MAP sensor.

Possibly a crank sensor too, but did you mean to repeat the P0129?

Neither one is for a cam sensor code.

sorry p0340 is the other code. i had replaced it twice. first time was about a year ago and the 2nd was lastweek.

This may help, if you can check the voltage/wiring.

Nope, if you mean the cam sensor area odds are that the o ring is bent.

If the new one didn't come with a seal, it will definitely leak. They are about $3 most places. You could try to reuse the seal from one of the old ones, if you can get it out without destroying it, just to get you to the parts store if it is your only ride. If it did come with a new seal, they are pretty fool proof to install, just push it into the groove.

Some will just plain seep, but it shouldn't be running out like a small stream. After replacing my seal twice, I used a bit of RTV in the groove, and pushed the new seal into the groove cleaned the mating surface, and installed.

it didnt come with any seals. i bought two of the and had the newish one replace under warranty.

can u show me where it goes and what should come with the new sensor.

No. It seals the oil galley and acts as a thrust bearing for the cam, so it is made to operate in oil.

The green ring is where the o ring goes.

The magnet mounts here with a screw in the center.

They don't usually go bad, unless it gets cracked somehow.

If the green ring was on the new sensor, you may need to take the CPS off and check to see it was seated properly, and did not get pinched. If you did not clean the remains of the old one off the head, (like seen above) it will leak. A razor blade will scrape the remaining green ring off, just be careful not to scratch/gouge the metal.

Are you using a cheap autozone cam sensor?

no napa... its not leaking when the cps is bolted in place. just when i take the cps off
