What to do with this? Is this necessary?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

What to do with this? Is this necessary?

Hey. So as most people that are going to reply to this know I'm doing a 2.4 turbo swap. On my head (99 Cirrus) I have a valve of some sort (EGR I believe?). Can I eliminate this? The srt head I have doesn't have one so what can I do? Looks like there was sensor for it and it's not there anymore. I can provide pics too.

Thanks

Adam

Without a picture, it sounds like you are talking about the EGR valve. Just block it off. You can get a MP EGR delete kit, or go the cheap route and cut a piece of 1/4" steel and bolt it on. Make sure you use an EGR gasket or high temp copper sealer on the mating surface.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
