Oil Comparison

Just saw a new ad for Valvoline and it looked pretty legit. Now a lot say Mobile 1 is
thebomb.com/awesome, but does anyone know if Mobile vs Valvoline is much of
a match?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm going to start changing my own oil and I
want to do it the right way.

*The commercial was for the Valvoline Nextgen product

Castrol Syntec Edge = boss

Get it for $30 with a filter when it goes on sale at advance. The sales cycle each period between brands (pennzoil, valvoline, castrol). You will not be disappointed.

If you are looking at "over the counter" synthetics, there isn't really enough of a difference between them to worry about.

With that said, I was using Pennzoil Ultra to achieve extended drain intervals (7500+ miles) on the Caliber.

What he said. All current full synthetic oils are great. I use Valvoline SynPower, but I've also used Castrol, Quaker State, Pennzoil and Mobil1. Buy whatever is on sale!
