Last R/T manifold questions I SWEAR!

I've been reading around and someone mentioned something about the intake manifold bolts that bolt the manifold to the head are different lengths between the 2.0 and the 2.0HO. How true is this? I already know I'm going to need the MAP sensor bolts but what about the mounting bolts?

Also what is this about shimming a bracket to get something to mount right?

1. when you remove the lower drivers side manifold bracket, you have to shim the engine/tranny bracket for the gap left by the manifold bracket.
what does he mean by this?

As far as the intake bolts go, there are 2 different part numbers.

06505756AA is for ECB engines
06596575AA is for ECH engines (magnum)

For the ECB engine, the bolt dimensions are M6x1.0x40, the catalog does not show specs for the magnum engine bolts. Maybe someone who has some can take a measurement? The threads should be the same, the length will probably be different.

Not sure about the bracket shimming question..

theres another post about you NEED the magnum bolts, because the standard bolts are too long IIRC.. too lazy to search... its in one of the how to's i think

I *thought* I heard / read that 1st gen Neon Intake Manifold bolts will work for the Magnum intake ?? ( If I Recall Correctly )
We may want to 'ping' Bill and ask him to confirm. :)

To 'shim' the lower intake / starter bracket, I would simply add washers as needed..... The question is, Where and How many.
I bet that the bracket used for Magnum intakes is a little different.
