Can SXT Thottle Body Sensors Fit On SRT 4

Post by DodgeEvo » Mon Jul 11, 2011 2:28 pm

I was wondering if the Sensors on the sxt throttle body can fit on a srt 4 throttle. Also is 116.00 a good price for a stock srt 4 throttle body.

The sensors aren't the issue as I believe they will cross right over.

It mounts in a completely different way than the 2.0 throttle body. There is a way to do it, but you have to fab up some adaptors and such to make it work.

I wouldn't pay that much for a SRT throttle body.

Ok, That is the only one I can find unless someone on the forum has a stock one I can buy off of.

Do you have the ability to fab up the mounting hardware?

Why do you want the SRT TB?

this would solve my issue. running a dohc 2.4 all motor with an amm box intake. for me using the srt throttle body gives me a way to bolt it to the box intake and uses the correct sensors my 02 r/t needs

The IAC is completely different and will not swap over. The TPS has a different plug a has a different range of motion compared to the SXT TB. Although if your using MS you can use the SXT TPS on a SRT TB, just be sure to calibrate it in TS.< LOL I hate how the army uses acronyms and look at all of those.

I got a SRT TB, Spacer, new TPS and bolts that hold it to the mani if anyone is interested.

From the pics I have seen of the two, there is no way the IAC motors will swap. The SRT mounts similar to the '00 and older IAC's

2 wire, linear. The PCM driver for the IAC is the same for all 2001 and up. Just the SRT's use a different housing.

well if its a 2 wire linear and so is my 02 r/t why couldnt i just swap over the correct iac connector on my r/t's harness for the srt t.b iac. And then bolt on my r/t tps.

As far as the IAC connector, yes that part should be plug and play. The TPS part, I can't say. As long as the voltage range is the same, it should be a go. The SRT TB has been adapted, so if there were major problems, I'm sure they would have been noted.
