Hey fellas, and ladies. I am looking for the name of a regulator looking piece located in the fuel lines in the engine compartment next to the firewall. Drips a little, mostly just wet. Not sure if it is effecting performance but leaking fuel is still not good. Also where to purchase. 2004 Neon sxt vin c. Thanks, and great forum. Best online.

I think what you are talking about is the fuel pulsation damper. IIRC the dealer makes you buy the line and all. Don't remember the price.

Yep, you need to replace the line. It is just from the fuel rail to the firewall, so it isn't too big of a deal.
Just pull the FP relay, and let it run out of gas, then crank it until it doesn't fire anymore. This will get most of the pressure out of the line, so fuel doesn't spray everywhere. Also, I recommend doing it from a cold start, so the exhaust manifold isn't too hot. Squeeze the tabs, and it comes right off.

It reduces the hydraulic hammer effect from the injectors shutting.

When you get this part in, does it include the plastic clip that holds it into the firewall? Mine is broken
