2005 sxt + UDP -A/C and PS

How would my neon react if I took out the AC and all of its hoses and suff, but keep the heating part though and take the power steering and all its stuff then adding a UDP prob from ebay, would my car get a little quicker?

The AC pulley doesn't have much of an effect on the car while the compressor is off. You won't see much of a gain over just having a UDP.

You may see a very minimal gain, but unless the A/C doesn't work, it isn't worth removing it all for what little you will gain. Keep your PS too. The small increase you might feel will fade into the same "feel" you had in a week. (It isn't enough to keep you impressed.) Go ahead and do the UDP if you want...

If your car is an ATX, even a UDP won't do much. You need to throw a lot more at it.

It also would help to add the year, and trans type to your signature.

The a/c compressor only weighs about 13lbs. I took my A/C out and there really is any gain. Also you want to keep P/S. I you decide to remove the ac nothing happens and it wont affect your car at all.
