Go ahead and tape the end to plug it so you don't have a vacuum leak and high idle. You should be fine until its fixed.

for $18 i don't care about buying new, but i do have a question for you. do the lines just pull out from the T junction or are they somehow sealed/glued into it? what i am getting at is i would love to just pull the small line i need out of the new piece and replace the broken one in the car instead of replacing the entire assembly.

yes it all just pulls apart, just be careful as those lines are brittle. actually if you delete the vacuum reservoir youll have enough leftover pieces to probably fix your problem
