Post by Public Disturbance » Mon Nov 21, 2011 2:09 am

Is there anyone on here that does powder coating I'm looking to have some stuff done but my local shop wants 200 bucks just for the valve cover. Here is what I'm wanting to get done
1gn valve cover(banner red)
Radiator Brackets(banner red)
Box Manifold(silver)
Plate that the motor mount bolts to, the one that the ps pump as and all that bolts up to(banner red) I would only be doing this only is someone can confirm I would use it on my 2.4 sohc setup(dante)

That is a little steep for just just a valve cover. the shop around me wanted about ~$120 for prep and multicolor (raised lettering) unless you live around NJ then shipping might cost ya the difference alone to ship it here and have it done+my time and money to transport it back and forth :P but I'm sure someone else will chime in and be more help to ya.

The one that is on you 2.0 won't work with the 2.4 You will need the SRT engine plate and alt & p/s brackets.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I do it as well, that seems a little high since powder coating itself is fairly cheap. What you are paying for is the time required for preparation of the material and masking. All can be a very lengthy process.

It is still avaible from Dodge left the card with the pn in the car and im too lazy to go get it but its only $77.98 and then all I would need is Alt brackets since Im not running ps.

EDIT:Will that bolt up to a pre-ngc block or will I have to find one 03+

From what I understand, the SRT engine bracket will work on the pre-NGC block. I have a 1998 block to use, so I hope so.
