first of all i've read and google searched all over. 2001 neon i had a lot of problems with sensors when i first got it, i replaced the iacv and tps. at 102k miles i did the timing belt and water pump and upgraded the cam to a crane #12 shorty header srt catback and cia. car is now at 112 miles and the headgasket went so i took the head in and got it checked out... its fine. got a new gasket and new studs new plugs and a jeep oilfilter and oilchange. put it back together and whamo it wont' stay ruing on its own withought me feathering the gas. it spits and spuders under a load and wont go over a cenrtin rpm withough hiting what feels like a revlimiter. i went and got it scanned it says map and iacv..... what are your thoughts??!?!?! i have less than three weeks till my baby girl is born and i'm out of patients

is the timing right?

timing is dead on... just went out and checked my map and its broke i will update when i get a chance to get a new one

It could be your cam sensor. They are common to go bad I was told. I had the same symptoms once. I couldn't go over 2500 to 3000 rpm. Changed it and it was solved. Never hurts to check it out.
