I have been trying to find a glasspack-size muffler for my car so I can put a side-exit exhaust on it, and found this muffler:

Here's what Flowmaster has to say about it:

"The perfect hot rod muffler.
These Hushpower II mufflers from Flowmaster are designed for use with street rods, customs, and sport trucks. They feature stainless steel construction with an internal, layered-laminar jet engine gas flow design that uses guided sound control with broadband sound cancellation for a mellow '50s tone. These mufflers support up to 400 HP, while delivering outstanding looks, durability, and sound control."

It sounds like it might just work for my application...what do you think?

Looks good, I'd look into chambered mufflers as well, just so you have a comparo going on.

this muffler is going to be in the tunnel right after the cat...then it's going to exit out the side before the driver's rear tire. I can't get a chambered muffler in that tunnel.

I was considering on buying that when I had my SRT backhalf, but the price is what scared me away from it. If you do install it, please post a sound clip or a video of it! I wanted to hear what that thing would sound like on our cars but no one ever installed it.
Flowmasters website has that thing behind a V8 and it sounds cool, but it won't sound like that on our cars. Take the venture and install it!

Personally, I'd run the exhaust out the passenger side. Why should you (the driver) have to go deaf?

Hmm, good point, but I think someone on the other org had the exact same setup though (not the muffler, just the, well.. you get it). I can not remember whom, but I know that it had no problems, other than half the jerks calling it rice.
