you will need a manual trans to seriously smoke the tires, unless you got some serious power infront of an automatic trans. but to get you started seach around for intakes, exhausts, headers, or if you got the cash a turbocharger. cheack out these sites (along with searching around here....)a:

Lol and your tires will also fly apart. If you wanna spin your wheels hold the brake down and stomp on the gas and let go of the break. U can also put it in neutral, rev it somewhere below 3k throw in drive then hit the gas. Of course thats not good for your car.

but on some crappy tires... then soek them with oil then rev it to 5.5k and drop the clutch.. ..joking man what are you really asking for? are you gonna be in a burnout competition or do you just want more power?

Light 2 cigarettes and stick them on the front tires. Or to really confuse people, light cigars and put them on the rear tires.

IMO if you want power cheap,

sell your car and buy an MTX.

if you read your owners manual, youre not suppose to even do it on an automatic.

if you are looking for power no stock neon, except the srt-4 and maybe the r/t, is gonna cut it. the neon is a decent car but it is certainly not fast by any means. you need to get some mods done to it. the intake, header and such will help a little but not a lot. maybe do some head work, a different cam, maybe a small turbo with a little bit of boost.

START WITH THIS:

Cold Air Intake
Lightweight Underdrive Pulley
Motor Mount Inserts
Tranny Mount insert
Short Throw Shifter (if manual)
Booger Bushings (if manual)
60mm Throttle Body
Long Tube Header
2.5" Catback Exhaust
Magnum Head/Intake both Ported and Polished
#14 Crane Cam or Comp 400 Cam
Adjustable Cam Gear
AFx Race ECU
Better Tires (like 205/55/15 Falkens, Hankooks, Yoko's, Toyo's, BFG)
Coil Pack and wires

Some other things to help with the ride:
Coil Over Suspension
Sway Bars, front and rear
New bushing set
Front and Rear Strut Tower Bars

Now you are up into the 1000's of dollars spent. And probably only hitting about 160 whp. :D But that is better than the stock 115 whp or so.

So then you don't want to smoke the tires?

Faster take-offs on the cheap:
Fill your motor mounts with 3M windshield caulk
Put Falken Azenis tires on the front
Put on a race UDP and lose your A/C and P/S.
Used K&N air filter in the stock airbox
Gut the interior, lose the back seat, and take all the crap out of your trunk.

Good for faster accelleration for under $250.
