yup.. from what i've read the switch is better so you don't have to be in the "sport" mode all the time, as they said excessive use may stress out some components. I'd say best way is to do the switch and use this only when you race.

my shift selector goes

N
D
2
1
a 4 speed IIRC goes
P
R
N
D
3
1
i noticed a liottle bit of a difference on my 3 speed, BUT it was nothign like the site claimed "tire chirping 102 shifts" bullshit.

Let me know how it works for you.
Is the wire they're talking about under the hood or in the dash?

Yea, I tried to do this mod like a month ago and couldn't find the wire. I looked at EVERY wire coming off my 05' SXT computer harness. I guess I can try to get on ALLDATA and see what I can stur up, but if anyone knows anything, any help would be appreciated.

This mod won't work with an NGC. You have to have the traditional PCM/TCM setup, because the wire in question basically carries a torque request sense signal from the TCM to the PCM, asking the PCM to reduce power momentarily while the TCM shifts a gear. The NGC internalizes this signal,
BTW, I was one of the guys who originally thought up this mod on 2GSS.org, and it travelled to Stratusphere from there. It does provide a noticeable improvement in shift, but I would not describe it as earthshattering or anything.

Couldn't you do the same thing with the VSS wire to stop the speed limiter? I did this on my Ford ZX2 and it worked. No speedometer when switched on but it doesn't stop at 105 mph anymore. Got up to 120 with another car behind me telling me how fast I was going.

Yes. Wire the VSS signal wire to a switch, and when the circuit is opened, PCM doesn't know the vehicle speed, therefore can't govern it.
