Hey what does it mean if you've got a rattling and knocking sound coming from your clutch during idle when the clutch pedal is out? But when I press the clutch in all the noise goes away.

its always a good idea to replace all major components when doing a clutch. id also bet on it being the TOB. it could be a number of things though. what else didnt u replace?

Yeah, the tob was replaced. It was done at the dealership, much to my wallet's dismay.

I've had the same issue since I put my SPEC stage 3 in 2 years ago, Spec keeps telling me its the gears in the transmission because they say the bearing will squeel not rattle.... I just really don't feel like tearing the tranny out again.. to check. I can tell you that changing to Royal Purple Synchromesh MTF won't change it but it does shift nice now...
