Trans fluid change

i am changing out my trans fluid this weekend, and need some info.
its a 03 sxt atx, 31K miles, and shifting has been a little rough lately, so that is why i am changing fluid etc.
can someone reccomend a good brand atx fluid for harsh chicagoland conditions, and bad stop & go driving??
how much fluid will i need when i refill it?
best gasket and such to use?
general advice for someone who has only done this in shop class lol?
a link to a DIY would be great!
