Everything was fine for all of my 10 hour road trip. Then out of nowhere, the grand canyon of all bumps is in front of me on I65 and I hit it, HARD. After that, everytime I accelerate the whole front of my car starts to shake. Whats weird about it is, is that if I'm just cruisi'n everything is fine and won't shake at all. So now I'm bumed. Could it be a CV joint? I need help guys!!!

id get your alignment checked first. i doubt it would be a cv those things are robust as long as the rubber boots are good.

Thats the thing, it doesn't. Also, if I'm going threw a turn, just crusin, it will do it. But this morning when I tried driving it again, it barely did it al all, but I could still feel a slight vibration.

did you install the suspension yourself or have somewhere install it for you? I'd check the strut mounts, and the two bolts holding the bottom of the strut to the nuckle at the bottom.. they may have worked themselves loose. And remember half of the bolts on ours cars, came with blue loc-tite on them..might not be a bad idea to make sure they are all secured with some of this, so you can rule out loose hardware as a cause for your sound.

is it possible u smashed it hard enough to get the oil pan....if so u might have a fucked motor mount....dunno just an idea to go with the accelerating only vibration....see if there are scratches on the oil pan....ive smashed my car really good a few times.... once i nailed a blind dip in the road and the front smashed down and then caught like a foot of air lmao i thought it was dead for sure....my cars lowered also.... but it just keeps on truckin....

I just checked everything, and everything looks to be all good. Except for a boot on the driver side axle that had come loose. So I investigated a lil further, by inserting my finger very slowly into the hole looking for a glob a goo. And it was BONE DRY. Maby the lack of grease on my trip could have caused unwanted wear and started my vibration. And I did install the suspension myself. I even rotated the front rims to the back to see if it made a dif, but nothing. Also, what about a wheel bearing being bad?

WOW. Same thing happened to me after lowering my car, cept I didn't find it till I was installing my Camshaft... that's crazy, I wonder how many other lowered Neons have had their driver side axle boot come off????
