ok so ive noticed when i shift from second to 3rd at a low rpm around 2000 that in 3rd up till 3000ish it sounds like its making a grinding noise is this normal with the 3.94 trannys?

Shifting at 2000 rpms into third from second? THATS LOW. Probably just a lot of load on the engine. Without hearing the noise, I can nto say, but I know when I shift below 3k rpms in any gear it makes noises.

yea its normal at that low rpm, my 05 has done it since its been brand new, the t350's are really noisy trannys. and actually sifting from 2nd to 3rd according to the manual for fuel economy is at 21mph which yea would put you near 2k after the shift, its a normal shift point so if the noise your hearing is the same as i hear its normal. the best way to describe the sound is if u get a small bag of marbles and move them arround in your hand its sorta like that, its very faint.

I hear it in my 05 too, should be no big deal.

yeup my 04 r/t does it, and its loud

just don't bog it.. I shift at 3500 and I'm easy on the throttle.
