Another Annoying Transmission question....

Alright guys. Bare with me for a second, being that I know everything about Honda engine swaps and Jack shit about neon swaps, I really need to get some info.

Now before you tell me to just sell my car and get a stick shift, I have to say that I got this car for free. It's an 05 srt-d. I've been asking around at some shops around Dayton OH (if anyone knows a shop around Dayton that is good and will do an ATX to MTX swap, please let me know), but everywhere i go they say either not to do it or there's going to be so much measuring and shit going on, and they'll have to research it forever and whatnot.

I was under the impression that the tranny, as long as it's pulled from an 03 or newer should just bolt in. from there i need to replace the flywheel, clutch, PCM, Harness???? and then i need to get the shift cables and the clutch pedal assem. but other than that, is there really any cutting or doing anything special that needs to happen? I figured it would be pretty easy to do if i got the right tranny, it's just that the parts would add up the cost. I don't want to take it to a shop and have them charge me 500 bucks just to look and measure.

Let me know what you guys think

From what I understand it is a very straight forward swap.

I know there is some info on this if you just search for a bit. Might even be a How-To on it.

What is easy is that the Neon was offered with a manual. Cars like my Monte Carlo SS were never offered in the US with a manual trans, so that takes some cutting and stuff.

Bolts right up. Aside from all the obvious hardware needed, the PCM is what will seal the deal. No cutting, measuring, or anything like that. Our cars are just like hondas in that sense. Tons of interchangeablity. And as an added bonus, theyre even easier to work on.

Can anyone link me to a parts list? I can't find it.
