Modifying the shift arm on the trans itself.

Questions about axles, transmissions, differentials, pretty much anything that connects the engine to the wheels, this is the place for those questions.

Modifying the shift arm on the trans itself.

Post by 01NeonSnooZer » Sun Oct 14, 2007 6:39 pm

I have been told that there is a way to modify the shift lever on the trans itself so that the stock, factory shifter will act like a short throw. If this is true, how would on accomplish this feat?

its very possible. ive done it myself. on the main arm for the trans, pop off the cable, move it so it sits centered right next to the stock attachment point, mark the hole, drill the hole. next install a bolt with a silicone lock nut and your done.
