clutch question inside

I don't think my clutch is bad yet, but every morning when the car is cold and I start driving the first time, it is impossible for me to get a smooth start. Just before I fully release the pedal, the car judders (shudders?). If I give a lil more gas, it's not as bad. When the car is fully warm, I can give minimal throttle from a standstill and it's very smooth. I'm hoping this is not a sign of the clutch going out. It still grapbs strong, and doesn't slip under hard driving...

I get it too. Probably just the friction material just needs to warm up a bit for it to grab smoothly. If it's not slipping I'd not worry too much about it yet.

The car will run differently when it is in open-loop operation (start-up) than when it is warm. Most OBDII cars have a similar issue. The PCM uses base fuel and ignition maps instead of more accurate closed-loop maps that use calculations from the O2S and short and long term fuel trims. If you had a clutch problem it would most likely be fairly consistant at all temperatures, and if anything would get worse when it heated up, not better. I'm not saying it's not possible that you have a problem on your hands, just throwing out options.

Yeah it happens to me to on col mornings or when the engine is completely cool. The friction between the parts sounds real nasty if I dont get it just right, sounds like a nasty grinding noise... But once its warm, its fine.

Okay, I know it's sorta back from the dead, but does anyone else have this issue, or updates on thier "judder"?
I don't feel it's necessary to create a new topic for the same issue...

i get it all the time...... sometimes its very minimal and other times i feels like i severe wheel hop without even spinning tires....... i think it might have something to do with the axle
