You mean hydraulic as in the the way the pilot bearing is pushed against the clutch fingers to disengage/engage the clutch? Then yes. 2000 was the only year that cable actuated clutches were used in 2gn Neons. There were actually hydrostatic clutches, but those were mainly in 1950's (?) GM cars. The Mopars were "Fluid Drive" it was like a torque converter and a clutch combined into one. (The simplest way to put it) You could let the clutch out and not worry about stalling the engine. Basically, it was the first clutch for pussies.
