Performance Valve bodies
Street/Strip valve bodies that fits Chryslers Neon with A670 Transmissions. The Street/Strip is fully automatic and produces tire chirping shifts. Filter, gasket and instructions are included and installs in less than two hours with simple hand tools. Get the performance you need! Unit only works with the three speed transmissions from 95-2001.
Please note: This unit does not change anything inside the cabin and works to change how the transmission shifts.
I was wondering if anyone can add any more info about this product. I might end up getting this product in the future.
Thanks.

Could you maybe change the text color? I had to highlight the paragraph so I could read it.

If you're using the dark color theme for the message board, the red text is harder to read.

Exactly. But since you're lazy, I'll do it for you.

That mod has been done since the turbo 2.2 3speeds were out. It firms up the 1-2 shift and cuts the 2-3 shift in half using the recomended settings. The biggest trick is the line pressure. There is an explanation in the how to on what to adjust it at. If you have a good trani to begin with, give your self 1-2 extra turns on the line pressure to make shifts even beter.
WHEN DOING THIS ATX MOD, RUN AN AUX. TRANI COOLER IN FRONT OF YOUR RADIATOR FOR BETTER COOLING. DO NOT DO THIS MOD WITHOUT ONE, OR YOU WILL REGRET IT....
Do not do this mod AT ALL without an AUX trani cooler or a good trani..

is this the mod that TNK did about a month back and didn't work?..... started throwing codes

by BlackRoseRacing
the only way it will throw codes is if he did it to a 4speed.

Where can I increase the line pressure? I looked in my Haynes Repair Manual and i didn't see anything about adjusting it.
Thanks.

I notice when I floor it with my automatic. It goes really slow from stop to like 25, then its life in the fast lane up to 80..Then once I hit 80, the RPMS just drop from like 5.5 to like 3, why does it do this? It feels like its a 4 speed but I know its a 3 speed. Will the Automatic Valve Body help this out? I just got the B&M cooler installed and I am thinking about getting the vb from modern performance in the future. Good mod to have for a daily driver? Any other parts to have to make this work more effieciently? Would this be a start for a turbo setup on an atx?

its the lock up torque converter kickin in at 80, makes it feel like a 4spd, till someone clarified it for me... and if your gonna spend the money on a atx valve body, and turbo, just swap to mtx instead first.. ive stopped lookin at making my atx faster, now im shoppin for the swap parts... unless you really want to keep the atx...
the auto valve body, reduces the slipping between gears i:e: smooth shifting and makes it shift harder, and i think keep your rpms from droppin to low when you shift..(not sure) and less slipping, means less heat, which is a good thing..

so the howell valve bodies are just a modified stocker? damn, glad i didn't drop 250 on 1. i did the mod in like 2 hours... but i gotta tear it apart and find out why it threw a CEL for the torque convertor solenoid switch...

Woah Woah Woah, How did you do your atx shifting mod? I know what you mean about having an atx, it sucks. But I think a swap would be very pricey too unless you can do it yourself of course, and with some buddies.
Good luck with that.

I have always been told an atx does better with a turbo cause you get full boost the whole way? Is this true? I kind of wanted to be different and have a turbo atx. Anyone here in the forums have a atx turbo?

yes, with an ATX you hold boost until you let off the TB. Where as a stick releases everytime you shift gears. You ever notice some of the old turbo dodges always ran an ATX. MTX is good for rally type racing. The main reason they did not offer an ATX for the SRT though is for durability.
Your average SRT driver does daily driving and not just straigtline racing. Plus without mods the DCx ATX sucks. Granted you can get a PT turbo with an ATX, but not the PT GT with the higher output.
Hopefully by now my rambling helped you. If you have an ATX now, with a good transcooler and VB mod, 8psi of boost, you should give the SRT's running 12psi of boost a good run.

and like iv'e said a hundred times...
Don't waste your money on the high performance valve body when you can have a reverse manual valve body for 166 bucks shipped...
Turboaction.com
I can upshift/downshift whenever i want, and somehow i broke into the 6500RPMs in first gear..

He's got a good point.
And for $166, that aint bad!
They used to cost more than that a few years ago.
