Is it a good idea to replace the hub with the wheel bearing? Or is the hub usually always damaged when the bearing goes bad? I am looking to replace mine soon on the drivers side and was wondering if I should fork out the extra $43 for a new hub.

yes, why not? You might as well as replace something else while you got it apart, I always say

Plus I will get all new wheels studs with the hub.

I can't imagine why you would replace aperfectly good non-mechanical part if its not damaged? I dont see how the bearing could mess up the hub. If you want new studs, just spend the $10 on them, not $50 on a hub LOL.

new studs from an autoparts store usually runs around $1 each. Or you could go with some ARP studs

The only time you would have to replace the hub is if the bearing was in very bad shape and the bearing race damaged the hub, or if you damage the hub in the removal or install process. And if the hub was damaged because of wear, your knuckle would be bad as well more than likely.

I have seen a couple of SRT's that had severe wear that made replacement of all three nessisary, but that's not usually the case with regular Neons

Yeah I read a bunch of people who had to replace the hub too because it was worn to hell from the bearing race. Plus taking out the old bearing out of the hub can cause a problem. Might as well soend the money on the new hub and play it safe.

Hub bearing only unless you've got jacked up or misshapen sutds or if the race wears out the hub. Just make sure to support the bearing properly when pressing the hub into it as the bearings are scored so that they split/break into two pieces when pressed apart (you'll see what I mean when you press yours out). If you don't support the bearing when pressing the hub into the new bearing, you'll split the inner race of the new one a f*** it up and have to spend another $50 on a bearing.
