Cable clutch upgrade?

Has anyone figured out how to install a more rubust clutch cable and what the donor is? I would rather upgrade the current cable for the SRT clutch than add an additional hydraulic system.

Let me use a little shorter sentences this time.
My 2000 has a cable clutch. I want to install my modded SRT clutch. It will fit because it has been in a lathe. The clutch cable in my 2000 is too small to take the abuse of a larger clutch. I dont want to add more hydraulics to a car that was not designed to have them. I just want a bigger clutch cable.
Now back to the original question:
Has anyone figured out how to install a more rubust clutch cable and what the donor is?

It's not that you needed to use shorter sentences, you just needed to be more clear about what you were trying to do. There was very little information in your first post and no one would have deduced that you had a modded clutch and all that.

The problem that you have is that the SRT is hydraulic as well. The 2000 Neon is the only 2nd gen to use a cable. That means that there is no more robust clutch cable in the PL platform.
The reasons Chrysler switched to a hydraulic system are many, but one of them is the ability to handle higher clutch loads than a cable could. And because the clutch cable in your '00 wasn't used in any other car lines, finding out if any other cables from any other platforms would work for you would be a matter of trial and error.
So I guess that leads up to the big question...why not convert to the hydraulic system?

Sorry. By posting in the Drivetrain specific forum, I assumed that people knew that 2000's had a cable clutch and that the SRT clutch was useable after being put in a lathe.
IMO, changing the cable to a larger one introduces less risk than "upgrading" to hydraulic. It also saves space and weight.

We knew that, but we get a lot of people who thing many SRT parts are direct swaps to the non-SRT's

That may be true, but without knowing what cable, if any, would work properly and safely may be a bigger risk IMO.

ok, plain and simple.....
either switch to hydra system or use your stock cable due to the unlikly hood of finding and other DCX with a "stronger" cable.
p.s. we all understand what you want to say but the way you post it makes it very hard for us to understand.

Hmmmm. This sounds like a good idea .....
Anyone on this board who's already done this ?? Maybe a how-to ??

I am kinda supprised that no one has upgraded the cable yet. I guess I will start checking junkyards for a bigger cable from any car or truck.

The reason no one has is because most folks that do a SRT swap have a '01-'05 or have converted the '00 to hydraulic. If you do find something that works, let us know. I'm sure there are a few more '00 that would like to do the swap easier
