Slipping clutch?

I just installed the Luk Pro Gold lightweight clutch and flywheel combo. So I have a new clutch and it feels like it's already slipping? I did a "test" and put it in 4th with the e-brake on and acted like I was taking off and the rpms jumped up but the car sat still. This was with the clutch fully engaged. This is a brand new $500 clutch that was properly broken in so what could be the problem? Its almost like the clutch isnt engaging all the way like it should be. Help me out guys.

Maybe your throw out bearing isn't sliding all the way out? Is your clutch peadal coming up to the proper height? Doubt your low on fluid, as it wouldn't disengage, if that was the case. Unless your pressure plate has failed prematurely, I can't think of anything else off the top of my head... Other than oil contamination, did you change the rear main seal while you had everything apart?

The fluid is full and the right kind i'm sure of that. We didnt change the rear main seal though. It's hard to describe the way it's acting. It just feels like your riding the clutch with your foot constantly and my mileage has dropped termendously. I was getting 300 miles to a tank with a stock clutch before it went out , and now i'm lucky to get 200. :banghead: So frustrating.
