The SRT trans was not made by getrag. It's was made by New Process Gear.

It also adds to the drawback of FWD. More load on the front tires in corners. Trade offs....patiofurnituregt wrote: PS: That extra weight is over your driven wheels, thus giving you more weight because the coefficient of friction x Mass = traction

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Also, if the gears are bulkier then its more rotational mass and thus slows you down some.

The weight of the gears is a very negligible compared to the added strength you get. Besides you have other factors like, the bath of oil the gears are in which probably would acount for more drivetrain loss than a heavier gears.
As far as the weight goes, it may through the CG slightly further forward...but when you drive do you have a counter weight in the passenger seat to offset the imbalance of the driver, probably not. For most people the handing changes will be negligible. As far as load goes FWD are kinda screwed but it depends on the tires properties and their force vs load curve, some do better with more load and the amount of lateral forces they can handle until they reach their limit and others do not....you always have to end up compromising somewhere I guess...

lol yeah if my spare SRT tranny weren't so dirty I would use that shit for bench pressing. It's ridiculously heavy.invujerry wrote:It's up to you, I'd do a TH-350 swap since I know I can carry it by myself.

Three cars worth checking into, all running the T-350 with no problems:
esteinmaier: 2.0L turbo, mid 12's on slicks
KrackstaR: SRT Stage 1 2.4L, SPEC Stage 2 clutch, 20" wheels
Roach: 400hp 2.0L turbo
My opinion? Go with the T-350.
