I believe they go right in the pan. Drill a hole and install. The hardest part is to not get cover in trans fluid when removing the pan and running the wires.

^^^ I'm doing the same thing with a tranny temp gauge but I don't want to install it yet because I just recently changed my tranny fluid...So that would be a waste...

Nah, its never a waste if you just dropped the pan. Now if you did a full flush, yes its a waste

So are you saying that all I need to do is drop the pan, put the fluid in some kind of container, drill the hole in the pan and then put it back in and reuse the fluid I just took out (reminder the fluid is maybe 3 months old)
Or did I just assume all of this off of your last post? lol

Yeah, you assumed it
I meant that if when you changed the trans fluid you just dropped the pan, it doesn't hurt to change it again. You will have a higher concentration of newer fluid in the transmission. When you drop the pan you will only get around a third of the fluid out.
If you did a complete flush when you changed it then it would be a waste because you would have entirely new fluid in the trans already.
