so this tells me my transmission control unite is malfunctioning wtf.
could this be because I just had a new trans solenoid put in because my old one was leaking and had a crack.
if not what are my options

I had my transmission cooler blow up on the highway driving to work one morning. It sucked all of the tranny fluid out of my car and thought it would run it through my coolant system
Anyway, I got the same code along with some others. After I replaced the radiator and had it flushed it ended up going away. How long ago did you have the solenoid replaced? Did it throw the code before? I couldn't tell you for sure what would cause that, but maybe it just hasn't cycled enough yet. Ah well, good luck.

after an extensive look a sensor had been covered in grease and was most likely the cause if it continues i will post more on my finding but as for grabbing a trani hell yeah time for a rebuild

It's just a general transmission code. Is your car still shifting OK? Only time this have ever come up on me was when the torque converter took a shit and I was stuck in limp mode (wouldn't shift out of first). That's why I'm gonna be swapping to a stick when I can. I'm not gonna shell out another $2500 to rebuild the damn transmission when it shits again.

yeah mine did a stick but it locked in second and once i cleaned the sensor off and rest the battery the car ran fine but other than that its been shifting pretty smooth actually that a lie its so smooth that you don't feel a thing.

I think you're on the right track. May check to see if there's a short in the wiring to the pigtail as well.

I did they told me I fucked it up after they gave it back to me, so I fucking told them they were fucking retarded if i was gonna pay another 135 dollars for them too look at it after i dished out 700 for them to fix the transmission solenoid originally. and then they still have my spare key but I could give to shits less.

That's a bunch of bullshit. But, the shop I went to here was good even if they were expensive. Transmission has been rock solid and better than when I bought the car new 6 years ago. Hell, they even paid to rent me a car while they were working on it so I wouldn't be out of pocket on that or trying to borrow one of my parents cars.

dude they did that when i in high school but now that i moved the car into my name and not my parents they fucked me over like hell if i think chrysler needs a bail out anymore

I didn't take it to the dealer to do the work on mine. I knew I would get raked over the coals in regards to the work and cost; and since I'm well out of warranty I would have been out of luck on a loaner. Was a fun drive along back roads to get to the transmission shop about 5 mi away not being able to shift out of first.

so this moring I got the the car to redline at 8grand with this code as the transmission locked it self in second on the parkway,
any more ideas asides from speed sensor cause when I remove the negative battery terminal its fine for a couple hours then starts to trip again

so this morning i took it to a specialist and they pushed the idea of the speed sensor and replaced them for free and told me if it happens again to bring it back.

Glad to hear. Hopefully this'll fix it for you.

For future reference, all you need to do to reset the ATX, is put it in park, and shut it off. Then restart. Unless it's a mechanical failure this will do it most of the time.
