Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen that question asked before.

You could do a lightweight flywheel and a kevlar clutch, that should make it a little more difficult. Should be a little more rev happy and harder to get a smooth shift.

I would say a ceramic setup, but they are a bit extreme and you have to launch hard every time you take off.

well I don't know how valuable my info is here, I've only dealt with clutches on hondas, but I put a 4 puck on my 1.5, and lets just say it was annoying for a while. then when I sold the car the kid who bought it tried to learn to drive stick with that car. HAHAHAHA

I bought the car back a year later after it sat for about 10 months straight.

That or get a fun little triple plate clutch......... :D

Yep that would do it! No enertia, and an aggressive friction disk will definately up the ante for hard to drive. You will definately hate yourself. A smooth start would be totally out of the question. Forget about dates, unless you want one to bash around like Stuntman Mike did in Death Proof!

If this is your first car just do the pt clutch. Have you driven a stick before? and I dont mean just around the block, I mean heavy traffic on and off the clutch and brakes? You dont want a crazy clutch.

I think a maddog short shifter might be a better bet than an outrageous clutch setup. A PT clutch with the shortest maddog shifter should get you what you're looking for and still be very drivable on the street.

QFT!! add some boogers and some Johnny Mopar cradle bushings and it will be pretty aggresive.

The PT N/A clutch. The Turbo one won't fit, unless you mod the flywheel. Just to clarify.
Modern's price is about $260 ish.
But then there is the rattle issue, that may or may not occur.
I have the Spec Stage 1 clutch, and it is extremely hard to get a smooth start. It is along the specs of the N/A PT sizewise, and so far there is no rattles from the MTX/Clutch. But it is unpredictable as how it wants to engage. It is different with how many ppl are in the car, warmed up, cold, etc. It definately keeps you on your toes.
It is also about 4.5 lbs heaver than the oem clutch assy. But the flywheel is billet steel instead of cast.

Along with my suggestion in pm's, I would also suggest a new stock clutch. If you don't go turbo or nitrous, it'll hold for the life of the car if driven properly. I think if you get an aggresive clutch setup, you're going to hate yourself. SOlid mounts, shifter bushings, short shifter and a NORMAL clutch make for fun driving.

EDIT: for the communities sake, this was my PM

I'd do a setup like this myself if I was staring fresh
turbodudey wrote:At first I wasn't sure what I was going to do for a clutch, but I finally decided to convert to a non-modular setup so I would have more options to choose from. The setup I'm putting togeting is quite a combination of parts from various cars (thanks to the guys over on neons.org for the info). Here's what I've got going:

1. Fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel
2. Pressure plate from a '97 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8L turbo
3. Friction disk from a '91 Dodge Spirit R/T

If you do want to switch to a non-modular setup like this, the pressure plate and friction disc can be purchased from someplace like RockAuto.com. The flywheel would come from anyplace that sells Mopar or Neon aftermarket stuff.

I'll be going with the PT clutch for my 2.4 swap. A lot of people have gone that route and are happy with it.

Also the PT clutch will hold around 270 WTQ from what I've read over on .org. I would have gotten one but I got a good deal on a clutchmaster stage 3 (which has about stock push weight to it).
