I was doing a few 2nd gear burnouts last week, and burned my clutch (what I thought was) a little. It stank that day, which I figure is normal. The SRT then sat for a week, and when I turned it on and drove it around normally earlier this week, the clutch smelled like it was still burning. Uh oh ...
So I did a bunch of pulls, a few all the way through 4th gear, and it held strong. I THINK that the severity of the smell started to diminish the more I drove around, but it's hard to tell now that the smell is all I'm focused on when I drive. Everything sounds and feels the same in regards to the clutch.
Anyone have any ideas why it would still be smelling?
This is my clutch.

Clutch burning question
If the clutch has Kevlar in it, it will smell for months.
If you're that worried bring it over and we'll drop the trans so you can see all the shit you scattered all over the pressure plate. If the clutch grabs don't sweat it.

Sounds good to me. Was just seeing if anyone else had experienced the same thing, etc.PhillyLS1 wrote:If the clutch has Kevlar in it, it will smell for months.
