I don't have a picture of it. but where the passenger axle goes into the trans i have a leak. I have had it for a while now. I do sometimes have hard shifts and know that my trans fluid is low.
My one friend who saw it said that there may be a boot that goes where the trans meets the passenger axle. Is that true? If it is, i'm going to ask these next few questions.
+ What is it called?
+ Whats the part number?
+ How much does it cost?
+ Is it easy to install?
Any help is welcome! Looking to get it fixed before carlisle.

The boot seals the axle itself. What you actually need is called an axle seal, a transmission output shaft seal, and probably 5 other things. They are around $10 at your local auto parts store. You'll need to pull the axle out to get to it, and the old one is gently tapped in by putting a piece of wood or something against it and hitting the wood with a mallet. Be careful taking the old one off, or you'll gouge the aluminum on the outside of the seal, and it will leak forever.

A $4 seal puller would be a good investment.
