transmission stuffed?

Post by Alex Kurdian » Tue Aug 11, 2009 7:59 pm

hi Guys
need help
A friend of mine who has a 2000 neon may have a serious issue with it...

his car over heated and found out that the transmission fluid turned a chocolatey brown???

Did somehow coolant mix with it? the overflow tank was bubbling like mad....

No warning lights came on....The engine seems fine...the tranny is a...3 speed auto....

Any body shed some light on this???
I drove My Neon till it "SOLD" And then bought a Mazda 3 Skyactiv

Does the coolant appear to have oil in it? The cooler in the radiator may have failed. Or the ATF was already dark, and the added stress of the hot coolant in the radiator tank burned it further.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.
