Can anybody tell me what does it mean I found acouple things on google about the code

p0740
torque converter clutch;
no rpm relationship b/w engine speed and vehicle speed indicated
drop at lockup failure of torque converter clutch lock-up system


In or words can someone define that or had this problem before and know whY in can do to solve the problem thank you

Hopefully it is a bad connection to the solenoid. The next thing would be the solenoid, then the TC.

Ok answer this one once I get to second gear either one of the two thing happen
1 either stay in 2 gear and not shift to 3rd or
2 if it shift to 3rd it take an while before actually shifting it will not shift to 3rd until I get like past 60-63 mph


Could having 19" rims be a problem ? But all this just started today well actually I was driving in crusie control at 60 and the CEL didn't come on until hit brake to slow down

ya if it is the tranny it would prolly be cheaper to 5 speed swap.. lol
