ok so when i went to pick up my brother from school it came on don't know what it is but my car revs out to 7k rpm and then shifts. it atz also. and i have not a clue what it means i know my car has been shiftig sorta rough lately ut not late. any help would be awsome!!!!!!!

update
ok so when getting ready to go car goes into overdrive then drop back down . then back on my way home it wont shift at all. is stuck in overdrive all the time now. and my speedo bounces when going below 35mph. any ideas??

it sounds cool but is really scary the sound it makes lol it pulls so much harder then the mtx but it is def not good for it. any one who knows what's wrong????

It is either a failure in the ATX, or the TCM/PCM.

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

Moving to Drivetrain

Edit: Possible speed (VSS) sensor, prolly located on the driver side below the battery tray area. It would be my first investment, then professional assistance, and $$$ may be next.

With the speedo bouncing it is also giving the PCM a crap signal for the speed out put, so it isn't correlating with the speed input, and might be the cause of the CEL, and improper shifting. A soleniod pack would also affect shifting, but not the speedo.

But that's just my logic from the info given. With P0700 being such a general code, it could be anything.

i do have a small leak from the sift sel pack. and awhile back by srother and i were wereking on the car and he droped a hammer one that sensor ripping the wires out. i have jerry riged them since so my car would sift so could the vibrations from the trans nock the \m sorta loose???

UM yeah, that could have a lot to do with it. That info would have helped in the first post. :beatstick:

I would get another connector from a JY, and do some splicing and soldering, or have someone splice/solder it for you, if you don't know how. Don't forget the shrink tubing, preferably the kind with the sealer. Shrink tube each wire individually.

Then move onto the solenoid pack. Especially if the female part of the connector is damaged also.

sorry for the fucked up spelling. my other computer has some virus and is fucking it up.

any way that sensor is hard to find for my year out here is it the same from 00 and up for all atx or no???

The connector changed in '03, or '04. So an '04-'05 for sure would fit. IDK what a dealer would charge, it it is even available seperate from the harness.
