you can use any year MTX neon. Just get EVERYTHING from that neon that you'll need.
Trans, clutch, shifter cables, shifter, pedals, clutch cable, passenger side axle

I wouldn't mind swapping in a T350...I don't know what's all involved though. Information about the manual transmission swap is ridiculously fragmented in this forum.

You will be farther ahead to get an '01 - up. The '95 to '00 is cable actuated clutch. Yours is hyd. The MTX can be converted, but if you get an '01 up to swap the case half, you may as well use the right one. That and you would need to find an '00 neon to get the pedal assy's from. '01 - up are far easier to obtain, than a one year production piece.

are you saying even if i got an 01 i would still need 00 pedal assy or was that just for the 95-00?

No only if you use the complete '95 to '00 mtx, you would need '00 pedals.
This is a good thread to read. there are like 11 pages of shit to sift through with a search.

Welcome to texas, abilene is out in the boonies though.
Check on car-parts.com, they have a good listing of the junkyards around texas. Technically you can use the 95-00 eclipse/avenger/sebring t350, but they have a lower torque rating and the gears aren't as high quality as the 2g neon t350.
Hope you can find all the stuff you need, the mtx swap makes a huge difference in performance.

thanks yo i will check it out and yeah i've heard bad things about the eclipse transmissions though. my buddy as a civic hatch i always beat him but for like 3 secs he pulls on me like crazy so i doing cause i know i'm crippled by this atx and i'm going to order the haun turbo kit when i get my taxes i reall dont feel like swapping for a 2.4

While the srt swap is a nice upgrade, our little 2.0 is more than capable of making serious power.
The hahn kit is alright, but I would highly recommend the ASP kit that esteinmaier offers. Here's a link:

It's a much more complete kit, and is probably a bit safer than the hahn. Good luck.
