Warning: Noob Question - 3 speed ATX mod(s)

I tried using the search but had a hard time deciphering fact from rubbish even though this has been asked a million times.

I'll be getting a tranny flush, filter change and all that thing spring but is there ANYTHING I can do at all to get a little more power out or less boggyness of this 3 speed ATX besides an MTX swap? What about a solid transmission mount?

I will do an MTX swap once I can find a 3.94 transmission in my area which isn't easy.

Thanks for answering my noob question!!

Be SURE to also adjust the bands while you are doing this, too.

Nice! The Peace bridge is only like 15 min away. I should be getting in touch with you soon.

sweet another WNY member...
As posted above, I highly recomend the above mod with any 3 speed, be sure to use an external cooler also. I did the above mod on my old daytona beater that I converted to a T1 car. Using the shift mod with the turbo added was a wild car!

A higher stall converter would be the only true way to get more power to the wheels, other than a gear change. Firming the shifts helps, but it won't really make more wheel HP. It just makes what you have a little more efficient. I believe there is a bit higher stall converter on the FS board ATM. But if you are going MTX, then it would not make much sense...

That looks more confusing than an MTX swap! Now that I finally found a 3.94 tranny within a reasonable distance I might have to rethink some things. Thanks for that link though, I have it bookmarked.
