Tranny drama, she wont back it up for me.

alright, just the basics first its in an 00 atx, so its a 3 speed. When the car is in park or reverse it won't move(ovb. for being in park), nor will it rev past 2.5K. When its in 1,2,D, and N it drives forward. My transmission has been giving me issues for the past month or so, its been slipping and not wanting to accelerate. I changed the fluid and it was pitch black. Any ideas?

I do have a spare transmission, but I planning on using it for the swap, so I'd only have to pull the car apart once.

When I had to put my transmission back in, the TC somehow snagged a bit, and the car would only go forward, including in neutral. Any codes?

No codes.
I was pretty sure the TC was toast by the way it was acting. Now Im not too sure, I might try and replace the valve body this weekend just for the hell of it.

Possibly the low/reverse band needs adjusted.
