t 850 3rd gear fix

so after 2 weeks ago i thought i broke something in my trans. i was driving on the freeway and the car revved up and the trans started grinding. we towed the car to my friends shop and took out the trans and it looked fine, so we looked at the clutch and my act hd 6 puck had lost the splines in the disk with about 9k and very few launches. before this happen 2nd and 3rd gear had started to grind. we put the car back together with a stock modular with a half organic half sintered disk. after this the trans would not go into 3rd and 2nd was hard.
the second part of this happened after driving for two weeks with a worthless trans. i had a extra t850 that was half torn apart and i knew 3rd was gone. i took the gear sets to two different shops and tried to get them to press them apart and tell me what i needed. they basically just gave me the cold shoulder. so i took the gear sets by a friends that has done his dsm trans several times and we figured out what i could switch onto the synchros in my car, since the dealer want 230 and 280 for the synchros i needed. after 10 hours yesterday from pulling my trans tearing it apart opening up the oiling holes, polishing the shafts, assembling the trans, and putting the car back together the damn thing would still grind in 3rd. i knew the synchro was good because we checked it with a feeler gauge. it was a different grind like it was only half way engaging the slider, if i tried to shift nice it would pop out and if i shift fast and held it in it was fine. then i remember a item made to extend the throw of 3rd. after pulling off my shift selector and using the lathe at work heres what i got
after doing this 3rd feels great it goes in better than it ever has, and 1st and 5th also feel better. this is a cheap and easy fix for the t850 especially if you like WOT shifting
