Yeah, alot of times pictures on their site are general and not always the right one for our cars (or other cars).

But yeah, thats it. Just go to a store and pick one up (make sure you check it before you leave).

alright thanks man.
somebody said it earlier, but i wanted to make sure so i dont make it too tight

Edit:
Got the tranny pulled today and put in a new moog axle seal ( other one was already replaced.
The case is getting resealed tomorrow morning.

Another question is, i noticed one of the little tabs is broken off of the tob. I havnt had an issue with it not engaging or disengaging . should i replace it while its apart or leave it?

Also does anybody know the torque specs on the 4 starter ring bolts that attach it to the clutch?

if you mean flexplate to clutch bolt it's 80' lbs I believe, don't forget to use a bit of locktite on those bolts

It may be too late, but I would definitely change that TOB, the broken tab may cause it to bounce around and make a lot of racket.

i ended up buying a moog tob to prevent having to take it back out

If you haven't gotten it back together yet, there is a thrust washer, or bearing in the bell housing. (It's been a while) It will keep dropping out of place when trying to get the half dropped back on. I used some grease to hold it in place. Getting all the shafts lined up with the bores can be a little tricky.

See, we old bastids think alike. A little thick lube, is far better than duct tape. :P

From the looks of it, when he sealed it up he didnt clean the surface of the bellhousing and it caused the gasket maker to not adhere to the case.

also, the case was a little off. Took like a 2ft file and filed across from side to side and saw there was a ton of high spots in the case. if you look at the one picture ( where its open) you can see i filed it down and made it all even.

Moving this to drivetrain since it has turned into a transmission help thread.

did u get everything fixed?
did u do a swap from atx to mtx? if so did u wire up the speed sensor and the clutch interlock or did you use the mtx fusebox bay harness?

Magnet looks nice and clean so that's a good sign. So long as your not getting grinding I'd double check the crossover again and make sure you're clutch isn't dragging

i adjusted the crossover at least 10 times and got it to shift better. still not perfect, but better than it was.

cant tell if its leaking. there a few drops on the bottom of the trans but that could be where i spilled a little bit.
