Automatic Transmission problems! Please Help!

Post by stairmaster3001 » Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:18 pm

Ok, today i started up my car allowed it to warm up for like 5-10 min and then i put it in drive and nothing. The transmission would not engage i gave it some throttle and it just reved up. I put it in the lower gears and still nothing and after like 5 min of going though them it went into drive and then i just pulled it into the drive way and parked it. I checked for leaks. None and i checked the fluid level and it was full and clean. I dont know what is wrong. It has slipped on the road before and i have noticed that but i though it was no big deal. I have synthetic atf +4 in there right now also.

Mine keeps doing this more and more lately. I'm assuming at this point the solenoid pack is going. Not an uncommon problem, unfortunately.

Have someone scan the car with the DRB3 to see if they can look at what the solenoid pack sees. A tech can see if the solenoid pack is bad, trani controller is bad, bands and clutches out of range...etc...
