R/T Axle Not Clearing SRT Knee Action - Driver's Side

Post by MoparOso » Mon Aug 26, 2013 12:27 pm

I'm doing a big brake conversion on a 04' R/T to the SRT knee actions and the Wilwood brakes. The passenger's side bolted up perfectly, but the edge of the outer CV joint is rubbing at the top of the pocket in the knee action where the joint passes through.

Can anyone tell me if they have seen this before while undertaking this upgrade?

What is a knee action? Do you mean knuckle?

I can't think of a reason the outer joint would rub the knuckle. I did the swap on my 02 ACR and everything went together fine.

You did get new wheel bearings, yes? And they were both 39mm wide? If for some reason that one side had a 33mm bearing it could explain why the joint is too far into the knuckle.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
