Transmission Whine

Post by Putz02 » Mon Sep 23, 2013 10:32 am

Hello guys i have finly bought my 2rd transmission due to the first one being cracked. howver my newest transmission has a slight whine in first second and third. i used royal purple syncromax in both the transmissions. both transmissions shifted smoth but the whining has me concernd the first transmission with the cracked housing had 75.k miles this new transmission has 94k miles. could be from higher miles and not worry about it or do i need to rip this one out agin and warrantie.

Let me add my transmission is a 5 speed manual.

I wouldn't worry if everything is functioning properly, no metal shavings In the fluid?

How is the fluid level ??

Also - Do you have any leaks - Such as from the axle seals, that would cause the fluid to get too low ??

I have a similar problem but the whine in my car comes from the passenger seat :thefinger:
