2005 dodge neon sxt build

So I bought this car about 3 years ago had a head gasket blow so I fixed that and replaced oil water and timing belt setup. I have almost everything done for the turbo just have a couple of last minute details to do

You need to use a photo hosting service like Flickr - www.flickr.com, or Imgur - www.imgur.com.

You might want to start a project log also, in the Progress/Project Log section.

I almost have it done . I have the exhaust bolted in oil feed line installed. Just need to install the charge piping and swap the oil pan and install the drain line. Hopefully I can post YouTube videos on here

The check engine light was caused by a bad O2 sensor. Running max 4.7 lbs of boost have over 2k on the turbo now. Running stock ECU ,fuel pump and injectors. I have no check engine light on

10k miles now on the turbo build. Well everything is running good. I have been thinking of a stronger fuel injector then the stock ones. Looking for a quick swap I heard the stock injectors from an jeep 4.0 will be a direct swap and a higher flow rate.

The Jeep injectors will fit, but you'll need to use some washers as spacers, and longer bolts to hold the fuel rail in place. Just add washers until the injectors are at the correct depth.

I used the 4.0 injectors when I was playing around with E85, been too long to remember how much spacer I needed.

I had installed different injectors in my Jeep I had at the time, so they were just sitting there...

Aren't 2.4 injectors a slight bump with direct compatibility?

SOHC injectors were 19 lb/hr, and 2.0/2.4 DOHC were 21 lbs/hr.

But keep in mind, the DOHC stuff was @49 psi, vs the 2001 up 58 psi.

Not sure how much of that was adjusted for in the PCM programming, vs an actual flow rate difference in the injectors as far as the SOHC injectors.

Obviously the N/A DOHC didn't exist after 1999. So it's kind of a SWAG as to what the flow rates would be using the DOHC injectors with the 58 psi pump.

I was getting away with the DOHC injectors in my N/A 2.4 swap with a non Mopar 2gn pressure regulator, that is on the high end of spec. It makes 63 psi.

BUT: It runs so much nicer with the Syked PCM. So the fuel curve of the stock 2.0 DOHC PCM must not be all it's cracked up to be.

I can't imagine a 2005 SOHC PCM is going to be more generous with the fuel curve. I think if the Jeep injectors can be had cheap enough, they are worth a try.

I would recommend a wideband o2 to monitor the A/F ratios at the minimum, if you plan on increasing the boost or want to experiment with injectors or fuel pressure. Better than either going lean, or washing the cylinder walls.

If you're looking to play with fuel injectors, make sure you're using a quality wideband A/F gauge to monitor your air fuel ratio. I recommend it on any turbo vehicle when someone starts changing boost/fuel.

The old days people would run the 4.0 injectors, I don't recall hearing anything bad about it.

Has anyone used a pt cruiser map and tps on a boosted 2.0 or is the map clamp the best way to go?
