Sure, but no, not at all. What are you boosting? Stock 2.0 or 2.4? SOHC? 9.3:1 or 9.8:1?
And what are you boosting with? A leaf blower? Supercharger? Small turbo? Big turbo? One of those electric fans that fills up the little kid inflatable castle trampolines that they set up at parties and local festivals?

Please please read and research way more than you obviously have. It really helps everyone have a better day. I'll help by getting you started....

Yea Im going to go ahead and say 8 psi is too much unless you know what you are doing with your stock internals. Everyone thinks psi=power. It does, but chances are your computer is pulling timing or you afr's are off. In that case, 8 psi might be the same or slower than 6 psi. Alot of people on srt-4 fourm's think they are gaining power by bumping up the boost on a otherwise stock car. Boost is going up but the power might not be.

Point im trying to make is dont even worry about psi untill you actully have a turbo in your car. Even with the smallest of turbos you can max out your stock internals.

Exactly. There are WAY to many variables. Once you are actually boosted, you'll realize that boost psi is just another number. Good luck with your project, and like I mentioned.....read read read. 8)

psi does NOT equal power. CFM does.

everyone needs to know and remember that.

8psi on a 14b may net 150whp on a motor, while the same motor with a pt106 may net 450whp at the same 8psi. the difference? the amount of air each turbo flows.

its clear you dont know much about turbo charging or neons. read.
