ok im starting to plan a turbo set up let me know what you think.

2.0 block with forged rods and pistions (not sure about what ration i want) maybe blue print and balance block(depends on how much it would be)

port polised head with new cam and springs

srt turbo setup(for now...bigger turbo will come after i get everything running good)

3.55 or 3.94 with lsd and better clutch

lonewolf intake mani

and greddy emanage hooked up to my laptop to controle fuel and boost( until i got ms)

ill also do there stuff like tb,new oil pan, cam gear, ram air intake, bov,ic,etc radiator, heat trated crank and maybe knife edged.

i kno theres alot of lil things im not listing but just wanted to put down the main things to see what yous think. my goal is 300 whp.
think i can reach it with that setup?

As far as i know the most anyone has ever got out of the TD04 is around 330whp. So with the right tuning you should barely be able to reach your goal.

reliable or not? Pushing that turbo to the max will cut it's lifetime down. Even with the right tune it will be really pushing it

From what I have read it was reliable (so far), but that doesnt mean the turbo could crap out at any time because of the added stress of running maxed out all the time.

The Hahn Super16g, it can reach 350whp and still has close to the same spool time as the TD04.

Stock SRT with supporting mods. But if your already doing a trans swap you shoulda just did the SRT swap.

Srt swap is cheaper than what you say you want to do in your first post.

From the parts you listed, to do all of that will cost like 4-7k. Do you know how to install all of those parts or are you going to have a mechanic do it?

Plus all of the little parts that you need will be quite expensive. The srt swap is well worth the money.

im doing all the install. thing about the srt swap is that for me to find 1 and get it shipped to me will be alot plus too get all the little parts that i need for that. and then ill want to upgrade it. where if i go this route i wont want to upgrade it ill have it done. and i dont want a 500 hp beat i just want around 300 400 tops and i need it to be some wat reliable. its just my summer car. and i already have half the parts i need. if i really wanted to go the srt route id buy 1 a few yrs down the road when the price gose down a lil more on them and avoide the swap all togeather.

I agree if your doing a transmission swap you might as well swap in the 2.4 as well.

But i can also see how you wouldnt want to mess with the engine swap...

thats what i like about rebuilding the 2.0 it will be plug in play minus tuning the turbo. even if i put in a 3.55 trans instad of the 3.94 i just out in it will be plug and play.

How much boost are you planning on running? Water/Meth injection plans at all?

Honestly, unless you plan on doing a LOT of PnP(head, turbo, turbo manifold, intake), Large Bore TB/Spacer, probably larger cams, and a VERY open dump....you probably won't hit your goal of 300 whp strictly with tuning and the setup you have listed.

If you figure all of the bolt-on mods that SRT guys have to do to get 300whp.....the smaller motor with the same turbo will have a hard time making that kind of power without the mods that I mentioned above.

I'm not trying to discourage you, so please don't take it that way...I just know from experience what it took for me to hit 300whp with the full SRT powerplant.

well im deff thinking about .20 over bore possible .40. and im going to get a custom intake probly from lonewolf. water injection may be down the road. and i have a full p+p head decked 3 angle valve job etc etc on the way too

ms may also be a future possiblity once i get everything installed and tuned on like an emanage.

If you are going to a standalone, go with a dohc swap, you'll thank yourself later.
