NGC open loop?

Anyone boosting an NGC car? If so, how did you get it to open loop at WOT? Whenever I boost, the ECU is trying to lean me out to 14.7:1 a/f ratio. The only way around it that I've found so far is to pull the upstream o2 sensor, and I know that isn't good.

Note: I've got rubber washers damping the knock sensor that I intend to pull out.

There's a guy on the other org that says he's runnin boost on a stock NGC controlled car without any electrical mods. Might try asking him.

That was me. I discovered it wasn't true.

lol... go figure. Not laughing at you, just funny that I tried to refer you back to you.

Does it run normal every other time? Only having issues with open loop? Did you check your TPS? Not sure if that would effect, just throwing it out there.

TPS reads 74.5% Although it's going into open loop based on engine load. For some reason the ECU won't go to 100% engine load, and I have no idea how the ECU decides what the engine load is.

I have an AOBE I'm gonna try. I'll see what that does for it. It doesn't stumble into boost though. Maybe it's just the NGC's way of saying screw you...

Lol,,, sounds about right!

I've been reading bout the AOBE, sounds like that should help... I havent boosted a car that wouldnt take it,,, this one may just need a little coaxing in the right direction

Verdict is that the AOBE didn't fix it. I'm beginning to blame it on a bad ECU, seeing as I've tried everything else.

Yeah, you could try trying to get a new one from the dealer (ouch) or just do a MS, cuz they pwn.

Did your TPS sensor go up?

Did you remember to do your TPS reports?

yep just go ms my car also went real lean when I had the rrfpr and went into boost. they have decoded the ngc crank so it should be a pretty simple installation.
