The magnum and sohc will be the same as the intake sides are the same, and the dohc should work with either the 2.0 or the 2.4. We'll have to see when we get it in. I think a M45 would work, but the M62 will be the better looking unit at this point. We'll have to see how fitment goes.

We'll have to check it out and see the condition it's in. But, LET THE GAMES BEGIN.

This is going to be a fun project. I can't wait to see the results. We should have a suprize for some Cobalt SS and Redline Ion owners soon. However, I'm not taking the blame if you snap axles.

the sad part is you do not want the gm supercharger....you want the ford style like what was used on the tbird supercoupe...
The gm style has to many provisions for misc shit, as for the ford style it has a simple input and output with out all the misc BS...

It's going to depend on how much machine time and material I have to use. I'll make it as affordable as possible. I would like to make it the same price as our regular custom intakes for turbo cars. We'll have to see how much material is used.

thanks man thats what i thought. just doing some research on it. my clone will be supercharged. lol, a neon that looks like the srt4 but s/c instead of turbo. that will turn some faces. And where at in Kansas is Lonewolf Performance cuz I am located in kcmo. If not too far I could swing by one day and check their progress out.

Ha Ha

Supercharger arrived today!!! There's no shaft play, turns freely (still will prob replace the bearings). Like Brr said, some fittings may need to be blocked off- no biggie. I can already feel the power...

The machine shop is in Wichita, our engine coatings, powder coating is in Salina. We travel back and forth all the time with parts.

any progress yet?...lol
Supposively the M62 should bolt on easily 50hp, but the side effect is the power loss driving it....what about trying something bigger than the M62, what about trying the M90 or the M112?
The trick is to get the most power per dollar like any other kit available, but using the eaton blowers, it seems there is some type of restriction for any power gain.
If you check the link I posted earlier the link will take you to there blower section and the most powerfull blower is the M112 at an average or close to 60hp....wich really is not much.
What is the posibility that a B&M blower can bolt up and deliver even more power than that? I know B&M had a blower kit for the old 2.2 dodge's....what about running along that same scenario?

Wow so the M62 is gonna add no more than 50hp?? Man I thought it would give little more than that. oh well, if its at a good price I'd still get it.

The B & M kits were closer to the M45. The intake will be based off of our turbo intakes which are very much like a tunnel ram. Tuning, exhaust and the intake will make a big difference. The main thing will be getting the most volume of air into the motor without heating it up. I will probably want some type if temp sensor on the intake side to see what the temps are and see if any type of water/alcohol injection is needed. I am waiting for it to arrive. It will take some time. I'm not going to rush it out and give you guys a crappy set up. I think you have had enough of that in the past. There are some other good vendors here too. I have ordered stuff from Howell too and I personally like their stuff. You guys will like this kit were trying to get together. We'll have a base model that we will be able to adapt for "Your" set up. That's why the base model's goal is Cobalt SS and SRT 4 levels. We may be able to make a M112 set up, but it depends on how big it is. I think the M62 or MP62 will be a good base model to use. I will also eventually try to get around to doing a centrifigal set up too some time. But that is for another day.

The only reason I stated that the m62 is good for 50hp is because of the graph posted in there website, maybe its cabable of more I don't know....

I know of a friend with a supercharged grand prix thats tweaked and putting over 275hp at the wheels using I think the m62. power has been dyno tuned.

I am positive our little "Neon" will make one hell of a showing for itself. You never know, they just may make more than a 50hp increase.

i hope so, i need more than 50 HP if i ever plan to stand a chance.

The MAJOR problem with pushing over 50hp on our 2.0's is the bottom end......
powdered metal rods,cast pistons,cast crank....
From my understanding the 2.0 can support 300hp before it pops, using the stock bottom end. The trick is to get a bolt on upgrade that is reliable and will push the 2.0 to 200-250hp reliably without blowing it up.

I'll have my wife pick it up and put it in the shop for me. I'll be out of town on a business trip from June 22-30th. As long as we can keep the temps down, we can make more power. Getting it set up for an intercooler will be a challenge. Gotta see how much room we'll have. I'd like the supercharger to bolt directly to the intake, but then it hinders a intercooler. Water/alcohol injection is another option to turn up the boost on a roots charger and keep the air temps down. I am sure that may be what the guy pusing 275 with the GTP did.

300, i dont knwo who lied to you. 250ish is about the limits. thats PUSHING it. some have seen a bit more, with ALOT of tuning. 220ish is about safe for a daily stock bottom.

A performance shop in Wichita KS. I don't believe it. I thought horse power in Wichita, was increased by giving the horses more corn in their diet.

Seriously. Andre, call me when you get time. I need and Intake and SOHC head work.
