SRT INT ?

i was gonna throw on the srt-4 turbo but after doing some resarch and the fact that its ALOT harder to find the MATTDOGG adapter plate now a days and i dont want do run both a cooling and oil line; im thinking of just dishing out the couple hundred for a new mani, turbo, WGA setup on a 2.0 im building.
now i also baught the srt-4 intercooler and have already mounted it and cut the frame just for this INT. i dont want to do more cutting so my question is, what are the limits of this intercooler as far as PSI goes.
BTW i am selling that SRT turbo with the WGA and mani. the stock BOV has been deleted so the srt this thing was on had some work done to it. i also took the time to remove the black/gold paint that was on the compressor so its not a nice silver color

I'm not sure what the limit on the pressure is, but the question should be how effective it is at higher boost/pressure. I want to say the stock intercooler is good/effective to about 300-325 HP? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I assume you are building this beast to run some serious boost...the CR is being lowered a lot, correct?
I am planning on running much lower boost than you probably are, since I won't be lowering my CR right off.
Oh, and as far as an adapter goes, I am looking into making my own. If the plan works out well, I may have some available. This won't be anything I will have quickly though

yes its been a while since i shoped arround, but from what i remember the CR was gonna be 8.6ish. on a fully built up block with eagle rods, je pistons, oil/wapter pumps. i already have a head ready to throw on when i buy the block.
i dont want to run so much boost that my tranny cant handle it, the stock neon tranny with a better clutch from what i hear safe-max is about 250-300hp? this is enough, my goal is little more than stock srt-4 hp on the spare 2.0 i have.
the reason i ask is if i do deside to upgrade the tranny fully or want to bump up the boost for a few runs what is the most i can boost without having the stock IC choke the whole setup... ALSO i dont want to buy a bigger turbo than what i need, i want one that will push the limits of that IC, no more no less

you can get a direct fit FMIC from AGP or whichever brand you like most. They can perform much better at higher boosts

Like John said, around 325 I'd say is where stock intercooler would become inefficient. Stage 3r was designed with stock intake and intercooler in mind, and makes 320ish hp on pump gas, depending on weather.
For the hp you're looking for, I'd go with a Hahn racecraft super 16g. That would give you room to run a bit more boost if you do a trans swap.

stock cooler on the srt4 gets heatsoak really easy. On summer days I noticed it in stock.
Having said that it will support stage 3 power of 325-350 ish, but expect serious heatsoak and major cooldown time if you are dynoing.
if you are planning on building a 200-250 HP motor, it'll be quite sufficient.
